Art

I was born and raised in Athens, Texas, where I was homeschooled and developed an early appreciation for thoughtful, self-guided learning.

I hold an Associate of Arts in Merchandise Marketing from Wade College in Dallas and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Fashion Design from the Savannah College of Art and Design, with a minor in Fibers. My education also includes fine arts coursework at Tyler Junior College and a study-abroad experience in Lacoste, France through SCAD.

I am married and enjoy traveling with my husband and our three children. Outside of the classroom, I love illustrating, gardening, baking, and exploring new places together as a family.

I chose Fulton because I value the opportunity to share my passion for creativity, art history, and visual expression with young learners in a supportive and engaging school community. Teaching K–5 art allows me to nurture curiosity and confidence while helping students discover their own artistic voices.

My teaching philosophy centers on providing students with a well-rounded, age-appropriate foundation in art appreciation and art history. I strive to encourage creativity, critical thinking, and self-expression while fostering a lifelong love of the arts.

Likes/Loves: I love painting, going on trailer trips with my family, working with plants, and upcycling/refurbishing disguarded items.
