Diane Basanda

1st Grade

I grew up and was raised in New Rochelle, New York. I attended a private elementary school and went on to graduate from Beaver College (Aracadia University) in 1992 with a BA degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education. I also received my International Montessori Certification in 2016. I have worked as a teacher, director and entrepreneur in many different learning environments over the years. These have included Play and Learn Learning Center and The Montessori Children's House located in Pennsylvania. In Texas, I was a director at The Primrose School and was a teacher at Lakeview Academy. I have worked at Meadow Oaks Academy, Stone Brook School, and presently, The Fulton School. I am very interested in reading books, especially the Bible, Travel, and learning about different cultures. I enjoy outside adventures that allow me to explore nature, swimming, walking on the beach and watching the sunset. You can find me gathering with friends and church families, sharing good food and good talk. I am a mother of two adult children, and grandmother of six grandchildren. I love with all my heart teaching children and learning all about their little world.
